The helmet on the left is my refinements to the Pepakura model. I'm slowly adding detail to the Pepakura model. I've taken the Pepakura Model and the in game model for Carmine's helmet into 3D Studio Max 2009.
The process will be to add detail to the Pepakura model, chop it apart into printable chunks, print, assemble, clean up, and finally cast a wearable copy to paint. (I've already got the model ready for the grenades for my Garron Paduk costume) I've got a local buddy who's VERY good at 3D printing helmets & other armor, so I've been learning from him for this build. I've got a Makerbot 5th Gen on order, and have been working on building up some 3D models to print on it.
